Firsts for Fiskars at GLEE 2012
GLEE 2012 will see Fiskars presenting a number of firsts. A totally new addition to the Fiskars family is the birth of MyFirstFiskars.
To date the children's gardening market has been defined with either smaller tools with metal elements or easily breakable plastic tools. Fiskars has taken up the challenge to design a range of fantastic children gardening tools, which are safe, durable, functional as well as great fun to use.
MyFirstFiskars includes four stick tools, one watering can, four innovative hand tools and a sturdy box for storing all the items, which includes additional innovation as the multi-purpose lid transforms to a snow sledge.
To support retailers, Fiskars has designed eye-catching POS units, which can either be positioned in the garden tools section or among gift items.
Continuing the theme of firsts, Fiskars two new cutting collections are set to be the talk of the show.
SmartFit™ is the first launch at aimed at gardeners who desire high functioning secateurs with ergonomic features. SmartFit™ is smart because it is ingeniously functional, ultimately user friendly, with exceptional quality. It is fit because it is optimally shaped to fit the hand and can be adjusted to different hand sizes as well as different cutting requirements.
Perhaps most exciting is the new Quantum™. A leap forward in design and cutting technology, Quantum™ is Fiskars new flagship range. Positioned at the top of the market, Quantum™ is aimed at the ‘ProSumer'. These are people who are highly knowledgeable in their field and purchase high quality equipment. In the gardening sector, it is estimated that ProSumer's make up about 20% of the market.
As you would expect from Fiskars, Quantum™ is the highest quality and breaks the market convention through the use of innovative materials and unusual design. It is a full cutting range including 1 pruner, 4 loppers and 1 hedge shear.
The handles of all the tools are immensely strong being made from aluminium alloy. The grip is of natural cork. Warm and user friendly, the cork grip feels incredibly natural in the hand.
The pruner also breaks the market convention through its ergonomic design and functionality. The blade is fully adjustable. The shape of the handle is designed for different grips used in different types of cutting. The shape of the pivot area is new. The pruners also have a cutting capacity of up to 26mm.
With these new firsts, as well as many new additions to its existing range, Fiskars looks forward to welcoming visitors to GLEE. Find us on Hall 5, Stand A10-B11.
