Going For A Complete Refit? PLAN THE LAYOUT: List what you hate about your bathroom, then make another list of what you'd love. Not all rooms will allow a shower over the bath, but if you move the bath position for instance, it might just work.

Stephen Hansford, showroom designer for B&Q suggests: "Have fun with ideas, but don't be over-ambitious."

And Heena Patel, Wickes product manager for bathrooms, adds: "Small changes, like re-hanging a door so it hinges on the opposite edge could improve access and space. Draw up a floor plan with accurate measurements and take it to the store."
