TracmasterDirect Takes the Toil out of Tilling with the Launch of New Domestic Gardens Product Line

Tracmaster is set to help gardeners and vegetable growers take the toil out of tilling, scything and scarifying with the launch of its new Eurosystems product line.

Landscape machinery firm Tracmaster is renowned for its BCS and CAMON product ranges, used extensively by professional landscaping firms and hire outlets. Now smallholders and leisure gardeners can benefit from Tracmaster’s 27 year’s machinery experience as the new UK distributor for the Italian manufactured Eurosystems (ES) product range.

The machines, available from the company’s TracmasterDirect website, include lightweight and portable tillers for gardens and allotments, a scarifier and two power scythes. With a special introductory price of just £116 for the ES-L16 Electric Tiller, the new range brings Tracmaster’s hallmark blend of reliability and high performance to the domestic market.

The tiller range includes the portable ES-L16, designed for work in flower beds, greenhouses and vegetable gardens; versatile ES-Z1, which can also be converted into a brushcutter and hedgetrimmer with the purchase of additional tools; ES-Euro3, which features a Briggs & Stratton 148cc engine and the robust ES-Euro5 for more demanding cultivating tasks.

Additional implements are available to cover all grass cutting requirements. This manoeuvrable and efficient model features one forward and one reverse gear.

Refresh Your Flooring PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 26 April 2012 04:25

Spring signals the time to take a fresh look at the home and assess what needs to stay and what needs to go! And what better place to start than with a brand new floorcovering.

Cormar Carpets marketing director, David Cormack takes to the floor to reveal the tell-tale signs of what to look for when you think your carpet is past its ‘sell-by-date’!

“There are several factors that can affect how long your carpet lasts; where you live, who you live with, what you do in your home. And it’s probably no surprise that children and pets take more of a toll on a carpet than adults.”

Visiting gardens: a national obsession PDF Print E-mail

In 87 gardens this weekend, you can bet no one is reading the paper. Instead, in plots all over England and Wales, a frantic flurry of last-minute weeding and titivation is going on in anticipation of the afternoon’s Yellow Book crowds.

Indoors, meanwhile, tables sag under the weight of baked goods. “Actually, the garden’s far less trouble than the refreshments,” says Simon Mehigan, still reeling slightly from the Easter opening of his Dorset rectory garden. “People will forgive you if they see the odd weed, but woe betide you if you’re tardy with their tea.”

Just fixing something as simple as a dripping tap will more than pay for the manual. Take on your own bathroom project and you could save £600. Fit a new en-suite and sort out that problem with the central heating and you could be £1000 better off.

Frontline Bathrooms give some top tips to revive the bathroom this spring...

Spring is a time of rejuvenation so when better to freshen up the home with a good spring clean?  A time to clear out forgotten cupboards, scrub the house from top to bottom and really get in to those hard –to-reach corners and recesses.  The bathroom can’t really wait for an annual clean – unfortunately it’s a much more regular chore!  Luckily making the bathroom “easy-clean” and effortlessly stylish is a relatively simple option with wall-hung sanitaryware from Frontline Bathrooms.

If a spring clean isn’t quite enough to revitalise a dull bathroom, an easy, affordable and effective option is to replace some of the brassware and accessories.  Features such as taps, radiators and mirrors are easily replaced with contemporary and stylish models. These relatively simple changes can make a real difference to the look and style of the bathroom – delivering a brilliant shine and a totally fresh look.  Some examples we have selected:

Traditional and Economical: How products from yesteryear can help save you money! PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 20 April 2012 12:23

There is a wealth of money saving hints and thrifty ideas around to help us weather these austere times, but this is not the first time the people of Britain have had to tighten their belts and be careful with their pennies! During the Second World War, British families had to carefully plan their outgoings and ‘make do and mend’ the possessions they had. Luxuries were rare, and even basic supplies like soap were rationed, so cleaning products like Soda Crystals became favourite alternatives for laundry and cleaning tasks.
